Ever since Anthony II can remember, he has been alongside his father working on the vineyards and in the cellar. Whether pruning vines or racking wines, Anthony has experienced every aspect of winemaking, from grape to bottle. Anthony received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California Santa Barbara, where he studied philosophy and biology and a law degree from Yeshiva University in New York. Anthony further developed his wine knowledge by working in boutique wine shops and restaurants throughout his academic education. These experiences were his initial lessons in the sales side of wine – by interacting with wine lovers in different milieu, Anthony honed the unique skill of discerning what a customer seeks when selecting a wine, either off a shelf or from a wine list. As General Manager, Anthony has led the expansion of Truchard Vineyards into several markets, drawing on his legal foundation to develop new ideas and successfully manage all aspects of his family’s business. When he is not traveling to share the beauty of Truchard wines, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Napa.
