Brent’s wine education started at an early age. Growing up in a big Italian family, the weekly dinners at his grandparents’ house always had wine on the table as part of the meal. Working at various wine shops during college provided him with an opportunity to explore the possibilities for his future. After a stint as a sports intern at KSBY-San Luis Obispo and winning a UPI award for best sports story in California, he decided to get back into the wine world as a supplier selling to top restaurants in San Francisco. Before joining the Round Pond Estate Team, he spent time at Caymus, Freixenet USA and Terlato Imports as well as 6 years in the beer business working for Pete’s Wicked Ales and Merchant du Vin, becoming one of the first Certified Beer Judges in the 1990’s. Working for a world class luxury brand such as Round Pond Estate has continued to ignite his passion for the wine business.
A California native, Brent resides in the Bay Area, enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as playing baseball, auto racing, fly fishing, food and wine adventures, traveling and mountain climbing.
